I do taekwondo. I have been doing it for a few years. I have Cho (1st) dan in Moo Duk Kwan style Taekwondo.

Taekwondo is a martial art that was established in Korea about 50 years ago, based on other older Asian martial arts. It is like Karate and Kung-Fu since it uses mostly kicking and punching. However, Taekwondo has a lot of kicking techniques that aren't commonly seen in other martial arts.

Taekwondo became an official Olympic Games soprt (using World Taekwondo Federation rules) from year 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

I was (and still am) part of Lee's Taekwondo Academy's demonstration team last year (2002). There is a video from one of our demonstrations here. You'll need to have the XViD codec installed on your computer. This one was on a stage at a local cinema in October 2002.
List of excuses for anything you might see:

• No knowledge of the setup - we'd never been there.
• No practice on a narrow stage.
• The thick carpet on the floor.
• It was live performance.
• Anything you can think of.
